Sit drag - am I doing this right?

Hey folks. Just playing around with the sewing machine to test if it can handle this stuff. I cut out the sit drag pattern (I think from ckossuth?) in some cotton duck and has some 2” webbing from an old tree stand harness.

I’m planning on using this on the ground to see if I’m comfortable. Planning to do some long ground-sits for early rifle season. I’m not taking this up the tree...

If this was a “real” saddle the webbing has to go all the way across from one loop to the other, right?

Also - does the thread tension look ok here or is this a disaster? I’ve got no idea (which most likely means I’ll be purchasing a real saddle before going up In the air!)

Looks good for your first time and should serve you well for your ground usage. I would definitely want one piece of webbing forming a continuous loop if I were to use it in an elevated position.

Looks great man! And if you are concerned about not having a continuous loop of webbing you could back it up with a rc harness.
