What are your thoughts on using one of the support straps for a bridge? It looks sturdy.

I'm sure it would work, but I prefer an Amsteel bridge. It's super light, super strong, and works super well with a carabiner. It's SUPER!

I would rather use climbing rated tubular webbing if I was going to make a webbing bridge.

I bought a climbing sling from rei and use 2 biners works awesome and rated for like 3000 pounds

Gotta agree with the sit-drag King, 1/4" amsteel is light and runs through a carabiner effortlessly.

where did you order your amsteel bridge and did you just get them to cut it to length and have them loop it on both ends? Sorry if I have this question before. LOL!

I bought mine from redden Marine. Wesspur or treestuff is a better option.

I believe I ordered 30 feet. I cut it to length and spliced it on my SD loops. My bridge ended up being 28 inches and I love it. You can check out my thread in my signature for pics.

Splicing is simple, permanent, and stronger than knots.

Looping on both ends from the factory wouldn't help you that much. You could use 1 loop for a girth hitch I suppose, but the second factory loop would be worthless.

Reddin marine was bought out. This is the new website, which wasnt up to date last time I looked at it. However call them and they have the best price on amsteel. Splice it yourself if you want to eliminate biners on your bridge. Easier than tying your shoe, trust me on that.
