Sizing Question for Aero Evolution Saddle

Ordered an Aero Evolution size 1 on Monday evening and received it today. Long time Trophyline user, previously. Anyways, I think I made a mistake with the sizing. I ordered the saddle based on my typical jeans waist size of 36 to 38, depending on the clothing manufacturer. Figured I was right on the border and went with the size 1. Measured my true waist size this morning with a tape measure and I'm a size 39 1/2. I'm 5'10" with a stocky build.

Anyways, I was so excited to get the saddle today. Wearing only gym shorts and a t-shirt (light clothing), I buckled the main belt around my waist. Seems too small. I'll try to be somewhat descriptive. The ends of the waist belt padding barely reach my iliac crest (hip bones). Should the hip belt and internal padding extend further around to the front of my waist? There is maybe 6 inches of belt left to adjust out if I was wearing heavier hunting clothing.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

I'm on the borderline also. I ordered a size 2. When hunting I'll be wearing more layers. Received it yesterday. In street clothes it was comfortable.

Does your belt padding go past your hip bones? From your description of the fit, it sounds like I went with the wrong size.

I'm still trying to figure stuff out. I just got it Fri. 9pm. Spent one hour experimenting. So far it seem comfy. Gonna take some getting used to but I realize there going to be learning curve. May take it out this afternoon and set up a couple trees. There are guys on here that are WAY more experienced than me. Redsquirrel and Boswell should be able to help you out.

Welcome to the site Judo!

I am slightly smaller than you, 36 waist, 5'7" and stocky. I have a size one and it is pretty much perfect for me, but I think I might be right at the upper limit for it. This weekend when layered up with all of my heavy clothing I was right at the edge of being able to climb the waist buckle in. I loosen that buckle when I am sitting in the tree so it doesn't press on my stomach, but I keep it nice and tight to hold the saddle on my waist as I walk in.

The waist padding comes right around the edge of my hips and touches the front of the illiac crest.

It sounds like you might be right on the edge. I would suggest you give new tribe a call and talk it over with Casey. He will be able to help you out.
