Are skeletoes the new Crocs? Who's hunting in them....anybody?

I had my butt handed to me today walking in sugar sand...I thought about barefoot but there was lots of sand spurs....I'm pretty sure even if they were the most comfortable thing ever and best stalk/hunt shoe imaginable I'm not wearing those to the store....

And...begin with the minimalist footwear I never heard of and can never afford.....hahaha

Vibram five fingers? Tactical research mini mil? I would suggest Russell mocs but they’re like $500 a pair and have zero grip.

Proof that people will buy anything….man those are ugly.

Are you serious about hunting in them? What’s the reasoning?

No reason...I wonder if they make walking thru sand any easier. I really prefer wearing some good and broke in Crocs for hunting in warm weather....

Mini-mil's are awesome for guys who want a "boot" style shoe that still feels close to bare foot. Vibram five fingers truly are only slightly more than bare foot, edging a saddle or any, and I do mean any, moisture is felt immediately, but they do make a waterproof toe sock. Both these options can be had for under 200$, now that said minimalist shoe setups don't work for me because I generally lean, and using either a perch or ridge runner it bothers my feet quickly. Now when I use the solo scout, it was comfortable but the platform didn't work for my style.

U got the 5finger? They dry out quick if u do step in water?

Yes, I've worn them for close to 13 years now.
Depends on the model, they make one that is made to get wet, it dries quick. Waterproof toe socks work great for me in turkey season, I've never really worn them in archery though, and I can't explain why....
