Bought saddle & sticks last season, used it couple times, I just dont feel like I'm getting high enough, how do you guys gauge how far apart to put sticks as your climbing. Thanks Brad.

I put mine as high as I possibly can to safely reach while climbing. you can also put an wider on each stick, or use a single aider on each stick to get the spacing further apart and reach your targeted height

It doesn't necessarily help with the challenge of getting up there, but you can mark your pull up rope for the desired height (say, 22'), then at a glance tell if you've ascended high enough.

While on the ground, place your first stick at the height you want. Now line up a point on your stick with a point on your body, say top step with your chin. Now you know where to place the next stick while standing on the top step of the previous set stick. This helps you get maximum distance between sticks and not short change yourself.
