Lol. Not exactly. I want to get a nucanoe and I got a little crap about it. I figure my next angle is that I’m just trading in old stuff for new stuff. I have a bunch of stuff I’ve tried but don’t use so it’s time to give it a new Home
 
What you needed to do was pick out a more expensive boat . Talk with her about the pros of having such a boat. Gotta build the level of anxiety. Then have her help you pick out something less expensive. Knowing that she is helping you buy the something you wanted all along.

Or you could just do like I do, buy it and ask for forgiveness.

Everyman should have a boat to take his children fishing.

When I bought my kayak she said “fine”. That was before we were married but living together and I was still dumb. Now I know what “fine” means. But I agree, better to ask forgiveness. I should have just bought it lol.
 
I got me a mad river 16 foot canoe this fall. Musky fished and sneaked into some hard to get to areas bowhunting this year. Wife was not crazy about it but she got tired of hearing me upcess about it, lol. Plus I found one 400$ cheaper on Craigslist and was like I have to get it now, there’ll never be another deal like this one.

I also have a Mad River Legend.

We had several boys out on the reservoir, fishing in a canoe and they both drowned. We already had a cheap canoe, I got rid of it and got the Mad River, because of the secondary stability that the Legend has
