I'm thinking use my hand climber then using a eye bolt afterwards to use srt the rest of time

Screw on step will work. Anything to drape your rope over to girth hitch to the tree.

Screw in step would work but it would be easy to pull your preset rope off the step. Maybe a cranford t screw would work better.

Is there a KN Rating on a bike hook?
All he is wanting it to do is keep the Rope up high while he is trying to girth hitch it. It should work as long as the bark isn’t particularly grippy on the rope.
