Anything close to as good as stealthstrips, but cheaper, for silencing metal?

Depends on what you're wrapping. If it's a post or cable (not a buckle), camo vet tape is pretty darn good, and you can wrap pretty much everything you own for $10

Trying to cover buckles.
And maybe I shouldn't have said "cheaper", rather available to purchase at a brick and mortar store.

Thought not nearly as good as the stealth strips, the Gorilla Camo Tape works pretty good to help deaden metal clinks from buckles and such.

Hockey tape from a local sports store works great and is designed to get wet. Also available in camo at some stores.
I've been using camo hockey tape for years. It's available online here.

If you're looking for camo stick on cloth I haven't found anything close to stealth strips. It's so good that once you put it on you don't want to ever take it off because you'll have residue forever.

For non-glue based I'm a huge fan of vet wrap tape. I use a ton of it on everything. It's not as thick and durable as camoform but it's a lot cheaper. If I have something that I really want to wrap and make sure it lasts a while before I need to do it again I'll splurge for camoform.

FYI- not knocking the stealth strips! Just giving options
