Steppladder system with 1/4" amsteel

I was thinking why doesn't Wild Edge use Amstelel on their steps? Is it a liability issue or something else? Just wondering.
You might see both options some day. There are positive and negatives to both rope systems. I still prefer the old rope over amsteel but it's not a significant difference.

I too prefer the old ropes. When it comes to gear like ropes i always like to have a certain level of overkill when strength is concerned. Amsteel is not designed to be subject to abrasion and it is important for new guys to realize that if you do use it you are voiding any liability from the manufacturer.

Im not saying don’t use it im just pointing out some additional information. The manufacturer says that that is not amsteel should be used for however several individuals with years of experience have conducted thier safety analysis and found it to work fine. Just food for thought everyone.
