Teather/Linemans Belt

I'm in the process of gathering up bits and pieces for my saddle setup, is there a reason why your teather can not double as your linemans belt?

You need your linemans belt around the tree in order to safely hook up your tether.
 
Im new at thos as well but I would think that if your using it as both theres a point where your not strapped in due to changing from belt to tether
 
I would not do it. You need to stay connected to the tree with your linemans belt while hooking up your tree tether. Then once your hooked into your bridge remove your linemans belt.
 
All of the above makes perfect sense, I knew I wasn't thinking it all the way through.
