Don't roast me too bad. It's my first video. I wanted to show a mod I've been working on to keep the tether from falling down the tree. I wanted something that would keep the full strength of the girth hitch. This also will work awesome for one sticking and make it a little easier to manage your tether. Let me know what y'all think!

Wouldn’t worry much about rope getting weaker with the extra wrap. It’s all the same once you bind the rope on itself once. More isn’t worse.

In other news, awesome idea! Simple, cheap, and effective. Might have to make one of those.

Nice work!

Thanks for the tip. I still have not decided between rope tether or webbing this year, but I know I will be trying this out.

Nice idea, definitely one for the "try it" list. Good video as well.

Only critique I would offer around your setup is, if that is your actual hunting tether, I would tie a stopper knot in the tag end.

That is a good idea. I know some guys have problems with theirs. I’m only going into season four of saddle hunting but haven’t had min move yet once I weight it and get it set. I practice on a light pole and hasn’t loosened up there either. It may have more to do with the type of rope. I’m making some changes in ropes this year. If I start having problems I will know how to fix it. Good idea and nice video.
