I recently bought a Tethrd phantom as my first saddle. I am wanting to put a ropeman on the bridge for easy adjustability. I already have a ropeman 1, but i am not sure if it will work for the rope used for the bridge. The rope seems pretty thick so hopefully it should, but i didnt wanna made a decision that i regret at 20feet.

Do not put an ascender on Amsteel!

A ropeman is not a fall arrest device, so I would not recommend that even if your bridge was of the appropriate material, which it is not.

Others have already said don’t do it but it seems you are placing in the wrong position. The Ropeman connects to the tether and then the carabiner. The carabiner holds the bridge. There should be no real contact from the RM to bridge.

It seems that the OP is trying to emulate the adjustable bridge styles of some arborists. Typically in that situation a rigging plate and a CT Rollnlock, or similar, is used, but always on a climbing rated/certified rope.

Any ideas on how to improve single hand adjustability on the bridge without a mechanical device? Once my prusik tightens up, its pretty hard to adjust it without using both hands, even after i take tension off.

Post back if you figure out how to get 1 hand adjustment on an amsteel prusik used on the bridge.

I have the same saddle and it is easy to break the prusik one handed and adjust the bridge bigger when tension is off. To tighten the bridge it's a different story.
Thumb distance at a time trying to push it up. In my experience the bridge gets set when I get to hunting height. After that all i adjust is the ropeman on my tether.
I don't think I would ever try a ropeman on a bridge just because it could possibly get caught on something and release. I guess with a backup bridge maybe it's a idea but that would be to much clutter for me to deal with. Jmo
Stay safe!

The issue that I always had, is that I'm a leaner on either a ROS or small platform, and I can never really unload my bridge fully for easy adjustment... Not without making it a process anyway...
