I had my shopping cart all full of stuff to build a 2TC setup using Canyon C-IV for the tethers/rappel, and 6mm TRC for my rigs (a JRB Double Meech on the top tether and prusik to attach the footloop on the bottom). Kept checking and rechecking to ensure I had everything I needed. Decided to add a couple feet of 6mm, updated the Cart, and get the dreaded "An item in your cart is now out of stock" message. Now I'm stuck trying to find an alternative for the TRC, which leads me to my question: Would 5.9mm PowerCord be a suitable replacement for that use on C-IV?
 
Yes, but so would 7 mm Sterling accessory cord. One of them is going to be on the small end and one on the large end of what you want for 9 mm C IV.
I like the 7mm better. It’s more supple and still strong enough.

i'd get the 7 mm and just be ready to add an additional wrap to your hitch knot
