My dad was going through some of our old archery stuff and found these.

142 grain Razorback 5s. I used to think this was the most advanced broadheads that I would ever shoot. I was also 9ish. As my parents get older these memories mean more and more. Really thinking about putting one on an arrow and if I get a chip shot letting it fly.

anybody have any experience with these or other older heads In modern bows?

My dad had some of these. I think I have them now.. My memory of them was looking at them when 12, pulled a cover off and sliced my finger.

I still have some!!!!! I have had two pass throughs (double lung on both) and did not leave much blood... I don't use them anymore

We shot them back in the day. My oldest brother shot them religiously out of a Browning Mirage on 2413 XX78. Big memories in those heads for me

Yeah, I still have some old Satellites I used to shoot. There is a reason they disappeared from the market.

The covers on those were used on Rambo as the explosive arrowheads. Pretty cool!

My wife hunted with R5 back in the 80s. She killed a doe with them and the following year she lost a buck with them. The broadhead showed damage from just hitting a rib. That was the last time either one of us used a "modern" style head.

I remember them. A couple of my buddies shot them.
I used Muzzys back then...

Well, I don't have any brothers but:
I was shooting my browning mirage till labor day weekend this year when it finally broke (29 years). 2413 xx78 as well. I did move away from the Razorback 5s. I might still have some.

The mirage was a hard shooting machine for its time. I still have a 91 PSE Infinity SR1000 that I play with. For a longer brace height bow it will eat your forearm up.

Don't have a pic right now but I have a few Rock its (sp?) laying around. They had a huge following....one of the first expandables. Put out a good video or two as well I believe. One or two of their designs are still produced under a different name.
