Disregard if your from Arizona, cause what I've heard you dont have this problem. I work 6 days a week around 65 hrs a week. Leave the house at dark and now when i get home its dark. Before i had time to shoot my bow, and now im having a hard time getting the practice in that i believe i need(3 to 4 days a week). I dont have an inside archery range nearby. Ive rolled out the extension cord and rigged up a light in my backyard but its just not the same, maybe i need a bigger brighter light. Anyways im probably shooting 1 to 2 times a week now. I feel i need to shoot more. For all the working men and women, how many days a week do you shoot and what do you do if you only have time after daylight?

I have been working so much this year and have not had any time to shoot my recurve so I have started carrying the crossbow since I still have to go to fill my need to hunt but I sure do miss my stick and string badly!!!! Just not fair to the deer to use the recurve when I don't get to practice like I need too!!!!

When I was shooting the recurve I practiced 3-5 times per week. When shooting the compound I just shoot enough to keep my confidence up. Twice a week at the beginning of the season and may miss even two weeks during the busier parts of my season. I only shoot 25-30 yards. If I screw that up it’s because of buck fever or being in a bad position causing me to torque the bow. More often than that I’ll drop my bow arm so I can see the hit. Doesn’t matter how much I practiced the day before the things I screw up are mental. Now if I was shooting deer at 50 yards I would feel the need to practice often. It’s just not hard to hit a deer at 25 yards. That said it can be really easy to miss from even closer.

Halogen work lamp out in front of where I’m shooting pointed at the target. If the light is behind you or from the side it affects the way your eyes focus on the target at night

I shoot a ton during the off season. During season I'll usually only shoot 2 or 3 arrows the day before I'm going hunting. For me the bow is kinda like riding a bike..... Ican set it down for a good while and shoot pretty good when i pick it back up. I rarely shoot bags anymore almost all 3d...the deer don't have circles and i think it's counter productive to teach yourself to shoot circles.... I want to teach kill shots

I drive a van for work so I throw my bow and bag in the back. I drive around all day and can usually find a quiet spot to fling a few arrows in an out of the way place.
