Trophyline sticks upgrades

Was about to go down the path of upgrading my TL sticks. Had a question or two.

On my EWO one stick, my bottom step has the slots for a webbing aider. Was just curious if I could use these slots in the TL sticks the same way.

Also, when stealth stripping the sticks, can the stealth strip go under the button, steps, standoffs, and bolts, or is it safer to cut away those sections to have metal-metal contact?

And lastly, not related to the sticks, but the EDP - is the truckers hitch a good method to attach the platform to the tree like i plan to do with the sticks, or is the cam strap more secure?

I don’t see any reason why you can’t do that with your aiders. I’ve definitely seen it done before. Cam straps are the most secure way to attach IMO. When people ditch the cam straps for some other method it’s for weight savings.

I would remove the versa button and poke a hole in the stealth strip where the button bolts on. I would notch the stealth strip with scissors to go around the bottom step and stand-off. I like having metal to metal contact between the step and the square tubing.

I second everything on the sticks, aiders and stealth strips as is said here, but I am a firm beliver in the truckers hitch for both sticks and platforms. I use that with my Pred XL, and LWCG .5 currently, and used it on my original Pred and LWCG Ambush when I had those. For me, that is the only thing that ever got them rock solid to the tree. I use daisy chains with trucker on my sticks and the USA as trucker on my platforms.

You will definitely need to file down the edges. They are sharp
