An idea that maybe I can explain so it makes sense. Take a nice straight forearm size sapling trunk and cut it 5.5-6'. Slot the top to insert the fan. Weld the brass from the shell to a piece of small enough rod that you could cut the spurs off and slide onto the rod. Hot melt glue the beard into the brass. Drill a hole into the saplin and insert the rod with the beard and spurs. Mount to a wall in the man cave and keep adding spurs and beards until its full.I think I'm more partial to stainless steel or metal and wood combo
What I am talking about would just be one fan, then adding the beard and spurs like little limbs on the trunk.I'm not sure I 100% follow....but whatever I end up making I do want it to be added on to like u talking about....I'm fine with just 1 fan with the ability to add more beards and spurs....I don't think my wife would like lots of fans all over. (Hahaha..."lots" of fans.....I'm getting little ahead of myself)
That looks awesome!I need to refine it little bit I think I like it.....View attachment 103376
The only "cool" looking wood I got is this dunnage with some bark left on.... I'm thinking about cutting it and make View attachment 103382into the shelf
This is a simple way I mount turkey tails. Cut out 3 inch circle of half inch pine. Put screw thru middle circle, squishes beard under the wood cutout. If somebody wanted to make a diy turkey plaque what are some good rough dimensions and designs?View attachment 103340
That is some paint brush beards on that wall sir, Congrats. I’ve got a pile of them just laying in a box and the fans are staked in the garage. Just haven’t hung them. This is a simple way I mount turkey tails. Cut out 3 inch circle of half inch pine. Put screw thru middle circle, squishes beard under the wood cutout.
Thanks! I lost several beards stacked in an old shed of mine. Mice chewed them up. Dirty Bs love the beards. You better protect those beards! That is some paint brush beards on that wall sir, Congrats. I’ve got a pile of them just laying in a box and the fans are staked in the garage. Just haven’t hung them.
