Hey guys,

Here's a quick video showing some options for opening up shooting room with the hybrid and web. If you're a 250lb + guy - Sorry, you may want to find something better to do with the 10 minutes you'd spend watching the video. But for us mere mortals, here is some tips to get more flexibility out of the hybrid.

To be clear, I have no issue making every shot out of the hybrid, as it comes, I can with my Kestrel. It does take some getting used to, because you're going to be seated for most of your shots. This is just a way to set up the chair to fit me a little better.

Thanks for watching, if you have any questions let me know!

I will try it - the new flex adjustable webbing bridge might be nice with it

Something like that would work great, but you'd only need it to adjust from 0-10" or so. That's a great idea, I may tie one up. It would be nice when switching to rappel to get your descender extended to right in front of your face in a natural position. Which is a plug for the hybrid - rappelling in it is so easy to do. Set's up perfectly for it.

Has anyone tried climbing SRT with the JX3? Mine just came in yesterday, barely got to open it but hope to play with it this weekend

I haven’t but might tinker this weekend. I suspect it’s not a problem.

Thx. Having never used a saddle at all, my first impression was the leg straps might be uncomfortable trying to SRT but again I've only SRT'd in my garage with an old harness (not a RCH) which is also uncomfortable.

I just did my first repel down with the JX3. Took me quite a while to get started down just making sure I wasn’t making any mistakes. Went up the tree with my modded helium sticks

Ended up repelling 4 times but i couldn’t get the climb to work unless I only wanted to go 4-6 inches at a time using the bridge that attaches to the seat portion. When I tried to use the loops made for linesmen rope there was horrible pinch that prevented me from even attempting.

Now that I’m back inside typing this, I wonder if I can use a short bridge on the seat bridge attachment locations and get more distance??
