So we are leaving out on sunday to Ohio for a 7 day hunting trip. Camping might I add. Just looked at the 10 day forecast and it’s going to be raining every day and snowing on Thursday! I planned on the cold and some rain but every day is not what I wanted to see. I will be in southern Ohio in the hills. So this is going to make for a hard hunt just going to try and stay dry and find deer!!! Any advice will be appreciated for this weather I was going to hunt a few water sources deep comming off the private tracks. Now I’m wondering if with the rain the deer will stay higher instead of low? Never hunted hill/mountains like this so I’ll take any advice before I get in there that I can! Besides the obvious stay dry lol.

Its hard to accurately predict weather 7-10 days in advance. That being said, I would totally take on and off rain and cold temps in pre-rut conditions. Cold temps keep deer active and the on/off rain will likely have bucks moving often and checking scrapes. Sounds perfect to me!!!

Just hoping my tent holds lol ive had it in rain before wile camping but never a 7 day rain! Worse comes to worse sleep in the truck and keep gear in the tent lol!

Good luck to you. We went to Ohio in 2017 and it rained 7 out of the 9 days we were there, torrential rains, not huntable.

Looks like fine weather to me. Late Oct - Early November this is pretty typical weather for the region. The atmosphere is churning up that cold jetstream from the North with ya'lls swamp ass Southern air, and it creates a lot of instability. If you don't like the weather this time of year wait 15 minutes...

Man I’d take my swamp ass over frozen toes any day lol!!

Put a good coat of scotchgard on the rain fly and make sure you attach it properly so the fly isnt touching the tent itself. That'll at least keep actual water out of the tent but everything will still be damp. That being said, 7-10 forecasts arent that accurate. The most they can really forecast semi-accurately is 48 hrs

Go buy a camper shell for your truck bed and sleep in it. Most truck beds should hold a full size mattress. Or heck rent an rv for the week, its only money.

I’ve slept in worse places than a wet tent.
