So been digging around looking at crossbows and problems with. For how many price point bows I see out there from them, I didn't notice a lot of complaint about split limbs.
I'm sure some of those $1000 plus bows are nice. But I don't want to spend that kinda money atm. But I saw that step tru riser on the white tail hunter, and I kinda like it.
What are your experiences with Barnett bows?
I just want dependable. Shoots well out to 30yards. And eazy to use.

XP400 here. Love it. My first foray into xbows and I didn’t wanna second mortgage. Cabelas had one on sale so figured why not, on sale think I gave $350 out the door. Wish I’d done it years ago. Love the triggertech trigger. The XP400 is 6.5 lbs which is stupid light. They have an excellent reputation as far as limbs go. The scope isn’t anything to write home to mom about but it’s serviceable. I slapped a vortex on it so it doesn’t matter anyway. I’m unimpressed with the included quiver, get the premium and you’ll be happy. It’s a little weird shooting from the saddle as it’s more like a rifle and you’ve got the limbs to think about but nbd.
Took me all of 5 shots to zero it and I was stacking dimes at 50 yards after that. I’d maybe give the hyper raptor a bit of time to mature as it just cam out, there’s a few reports on crossbow nation of cams munching the cables.

Second this. XP400 has been great. Light, easy to use. Forst xbow, I picked it up in September and got two does with it last year.
