I like my wrist release, however it lacks the ability to bend it backwards or get it out of the way, so it keeps banging on stuff. Noise is no good.

So I was contemplating taking the camouflage wrist strap and the release mechanism apart and replacing the bolt inside with a piece of paracord. This should allow me to clip the release on the little straps on the wrist of my jacket. I cannot afford a new handheld release rn.

I'm not familiar with the internal parts of a release, anyone have knowledge in this?

If you're not too tied to that one everything your looking for and more is in the spot hog wise guy release. It will fold back outa the way and has the precision adjustment of a Carter 3 finger release.

I just keep mine in my pocket until im setup. Works for me but probably doesnt help you much.

I have the same release. Never needed a foldback because I just rotate it 180 degrees so it sits in the top of my wrist when I climb, seems to do the trick. I don’t want to have to fold it out when I wanna shoot, I just clip it and spin it on my wrist and it’s good to go.

I might start doing that, at least until i can get my hands on a new one, it bangs on stuff more when I'm sitting down and it taps my bow, or the edge of my climber. I don't put it on until I'm up in the tree and my back back and bow are secured.

Trufire has a lot of nice foldable releases as well if you decide to buy a new one, I have been using the trufire hardcore for about 3 years now and love it

I really like the Wise Guy also...smoothest index i have ever shot. I shoot a little tighter with my Carter Chocolate but prefer the wise guy for hunting. I like the Boa strap also.
