The guys that use a hand climber to climb a tree and then use it for their platform, do you use your tether or linesman belt when climbing. I'm assuming the tether would be safer but slower.

I use spurs some now but would like to try out the hand climber when they come back in stock. Thanks for the help.
 
You have to use the tether to hold your weight while lifting the climber with your feet. Works better with a ropeman than a prussik. Don’t forget to leash the climber section to yourself.
