i like the idea of a double step but like that xop look...pros and cons and weight on 4 sticks...looking to just carry my sticks and bow in to hunt...

Xop is very heavy. Good if you like a solid stick with good foot room. But man are they heavy.

Don’t have hawk, but I do have xop. If I went back in time I would buy hawk. I also broke one of my original xop sticks and got a new set free of charge.

I just bought Heliums and expect them to arrive this week. Should be a good choice from all that I've read.

I like the hawk but would have to find a simple way to do the versa button mod with rope

It's simple. Buy 3 versa buttons, remove the helium strap bracket, install versa buttons in same hole, add rope. Ihave it done to mine. Uses same hole as factory hawk bracket

I just don't do the single step, so it's an easy answer for me.

Hawk is probably the best stick on the market out of the box. Certainly the best for the price.

The versabutton/rope mod takes $20 and 5 minutes and is an ok improvement.

The big mod, cut them down into a 2 step stick, they become the most compact and packable climbing stick there is.

The double step is the difference for me. Dan’s beast sticks look interesting, but I already have 4 heliums. I am looking to cut them down to cut down on the weight. The versa rope mod is very simple to do
