That's super interesting. I have tried a similar system where you use the measurement of the animal from belly to back to get yardage, but I am always leery. I can't seem to give up my range finder.

With this system. I would be afraid of plucking the wrong set of arrows, especially on a quartering shot.

I'm afraid I would forget everything in the heat of the moment and just launch an arrow lol. At least with a pin I have something to focus on. Maybe with the EZV it's automatic and that's not an issue. I'd just have to try it I guess.

I have been running one of these for the last year in conjunction with a Bow Anchor Sight and it has proven to be a great setup. When your brain gets calibrated to using this way of sighting it is amazingly reflexive and accurate. Aaron has put a lot of research into its development and it is designed for hunting.

I am considering ordering one and was curious about smaller targets, for instance 3D targets of groundhogs, rabbits, or even the top left circle of my target. I shoot a lot with my son and wonder how it is with these type of targets? I know it is for bowhunting, but once on, I would like it to be used off season as well. Any thoughts from those who use it?

My biggest concern is low light conditions. At least 75% of my hunts are in the evening and being able to see in in low light is critical. Haven't found anything about low light conditions. I really like the idea but if it doesn't perform well when I need it then its pretty useless. Any info for its low light performance is appreciated thanks

It’s made for low light hence no pins in the way. It’s your peep that restricts you in low light. I have a no peep at the house if I can find it. I will install it at the house tonight and try it tomorrow.

First two pictures are 20 yards 60# Synergy 250fps. EZV site.
Third picture is 20 yards 60# Hoyt Carbon Spyder 30 290fps. I switched sites at the range and have the wrong insert in EZV. The Carbon has a Tommy Hogg single pin.
I’ll come back tomorrow set up with the right insert.

@cedar paul You run both the anchor and EZV. I have been thinking about doing exactly the same thing. Now I have a ton of questions.

I have been using the Anchor Sight since Lynn came out with it. The combo with the EZV is working very well. I hate peeps because of low light situations and string twist. Also with the B.A.S. you can range for the in between yardage. As far as hitting smaller targets it is weird but you brain knows how much of the target needs to be seen in the "V". For me 40 yards and in is what I am comfortable and after that I use rangefinder and tick marks.

I pulled the trigger. I like this style of "within the range" for hunting, not exact but perfect for how I hunt.
Plus this sight with my Whisker Biscuit make my bow so much tougher through the brush etc.

So, how are you liking the EZV? Didn’t you try it a previous time and decide to put it down until you could further practice with it? Curious to know if you’re liking it now.

I gave it an honest shot this time and am not sold but to be honest I was trying a lot of new stuff. Too different back tension releases. That site on three bows. Different draw lengths on two bows all in three weeks. I sent it to someone else to try and he will probably do a review on it it a couple months. I doubt I will use it this season. But you never know with me. Kinda like a fart in a windstorm. I change directions quickly.

I was practicing out of my elevated platform today and making killing shots . The other day I walked my 3d range and made good hits on various targets from 10-45yds . This way of sighting takes some time to get accustomed to but when you do you can pick up your bow and without a lot of mental gyrations make a great shot. If for the longer shots you use your rangefinder and then use the tick marks 60 yards and longer are very doable.

This is why I'm leery, they say to use a range finder 40 yrds and over with the EZV. Well that's the only time I even need a range finder anyway...

Does anybody shoot better at 70-80 yrds with the EZV than they do with a normal pin sight?

I was wondering about animal size as well. Just switching locations from say Arkansas to Illinois could see a considerable shift in the size of whitetail’s body. Does this impact the usefulness of this sight? What about turkeys, hogs, etc.? Not bashing...just curious.
