H2 vs tethrd?

Anyone know when H2 is going to release a mesh version? Heard it was coming out beginning of the year, but haven't heard anything since then.

I've been wanting to say this since the Phantom was released.... It's pretty much an H2 clone. It has the same shape. The only thing different was the adjustable loops...…... but now H2 came out with the Triad Bridge which is better than the adjustable loops... H2 is way ahead of the game.

Bwahahahaha I was wondering how long that bs would take. Lol

See you in a tree, Ricky

I love these threads! The real answer is neither. All I can say is that if you take an original Anderson and layout the two sections it forms the shape of a ball that keeps being mentioned around here lately. Game ended over 30 years ago, everyone just forgot :)

Here’s a picture of me in the first phantom prototype I tested. It was well before I had even heard of Heath Hart. Not sure when I got it but this pic is almost a year old and 70lbs ago.

I believe you. I may try both and sell one or both.
I am trying the tree hopper sling soon.

The JX 3 is still the one for me but I want a super short sit alternative

I think everyone should sit in as many saddles as they can. At the end of the day it’s you in a tree and your comfort and safety is what’s important.

Why? It's no different. Im not saying there is anything wrong there phantom. It's the same shape... H2 was the first with that shape on the market.

You are entitled to an opinion I expect Ricky has remembered the same type of discussions that caused some heated discussions between new tribes semi pros and Tethrd friends.
All saddles share many similarities. And they all keep getting better. Who thought of what first is a matter for patent lawyers. And I don’t care anymore.
In the end the best quality for the best price with the best marketing and best service will win. Competition will produce excellence

All this discussion... is where i was kinda going when I started this thread I guess. Didnt mean to open a can o worms, or ruffle feathers. I just thought they seemed similar, just using slightly different ways of arriving in much the same place. So good to hear from some folks on the H2. I dont know after all this info if I can say one has a benefit over the other or not? Cost is a factor... but I totally get the difference based on Where Tethrd is, as a company vs the H2 business model. I think Safety seems equal, but one company may tout more testing results? Comfort may be a wash? I think the linesmans loops are a difference to be considered. I did order a H2, and waiting for a meetup to compare to others. Its looking like a Coke vs Pepsi thing. Others may disagree.

Cost may be another difference and one is a mesh too. Comfort may be subjective.

Does anyone know of where to find a photo of the Triad bridge from H2? I can’t seem to find a decent photo of it anywhere.

Also, I just added a Utilibridge from Custom AmSteel to my H2. I like it but was a little rough to get it to work right for me. Wondering if I should maybe try the Triad instead. Or are they almost the same thing?

Can you explain because I don’t really understand why such a high cost of one vs the other? Just more overhead and marketing?

I imagine the 3rd party testing also plays a large role as well as insurance. Then also the marketing budget, the pro staff budget, payroll for employees, etc. But the cost of making saddles I would think would be relatively similar, but then the idea of mass producing compared to small scale.
I find that all these saddles are relatively similarly priced. Ropes and sewn eyes or spliced eyes are a large part of the cost if that is in the kit..
