Cool video. Never seen the slurry method. Wonder how long they leave it in there to get to temp before draining out the water. I have a pick up that could do the freezer if you guys do that

@g2outdoors do we need hunter orange?

Just found the SOP(Standard Operating Procedures) on the isportsman site, it's 42 pages long and we should probably all be familiar with it. I'm gonna print a copy at work, lol.

https://ftstewart.isportsman.net/files/Documents/policy_memo_34_sop_28_nov_2017.pdf

It looks like we need 500 square inches if we are in an area that allows "big game firearms"

5-6 REQUIRED CLOTHING Every person accessing the training areas for recreational activities in an area where big game firearms are allowed for hunting for that day shall be required to wear a total of 500 square inches of hunter orange as an outer garment above the waistline, and may include a head covering. EXCEPTIONS: Turkey hunters, dove hunters, and persons in areas designated for bow hunting only (FS/HAAF) are not required to wear hunter orange. Waterfowl hunters must wear 500 square inches of hunter orange as an outer garment while walking to and from their blinds, but may remove it once they are at their blind/stand.

I haven't been able to figure out if we can hunt on Sunday, at least I can't find it in the SOP, probably because it is 7 days/week. Also curious if tree spikes/spurs are allowed, can't seem to find that either???

Orange is required. All the pertinent rules you need to worry about are in the original post. You can read the entire SOP if you want, but I laid out all the pertinent info in the first post.

Quick question is there a mag limit there? Can I carry a 20 round mag around or does it have to be a 5 round?

Not sure on that one. It's the south, so 20 round is probably OK, But you'll need to read through the SOP rules on isportsman.

Interesting. I just read that pigs can see color. Do you ever get picked off by the orange?

No. Because I almost never wear it. I generally hunt by kayak where noone else goes. I'll wear it walking in, but take it off when hunting.

Never heard about the orange thing before.

Will anyone have a broadhead target there that I can check my bow site after flying?

The sat images don’t show a whole lot of water from the air, is it mostly wooded swamp? How much land do you think has good water access?
