Opinions on Mystery Ranch Popup 30 vs Popup 40

I use the MR28 for saddle hunting. It works well. I have used it for several 1 day trips out west and have used it for several Midwest whitetail hunting days. I place my 1 stick inside the meat shelf when walking into the forest. You can also hang it off the outside or bottom of the pack. I...

    Wingman or Big BOB or?

To be fair I havent tried the Wingman, but did look at it before I bought th BoB. The reason that I went with the BoB is for the cam cleat, amsteel and wide bottom step. I added an aider as well. Stick is solid and love climbing with it. I even climb my Queensland Palm trees with the BoB to...

    Lineman setup

For my linesman I use a prusik, but been tempted to change it to a Schwabisch hitch since it's easier to operate with one hand. For my tether I use a Kong.

In Kansas and getting the p knocked out of me!

Yep I remember coming in last year on a Friday, just as it cooled down to a high of 40's on Saturday. Seemed like deer were everywhere and the rut was ramping up. This year, we saw deer (does, spikes) just noy as many and didn't see mature bucks during the day.

The Go To - Saddle Hunting Clothes

Thank you, another great point on pocket placement/zippers and access. I will keep that in mind while looking. I do have a bino harness and will need to see if it's going to be in the way.

The Go To - Saddle Hunting Clothes

I like that hand muff off the bino puch idea. Sounds like it would be easier access to keep the hands warm

The Go To - Saddle Hunting Clothes

Looks like you put a lot of thought and time into your system and have yourself covered for many variables. Great info and that King's Anorak has been suggested a few times.
