    Stick kick out when using aiders

    Dave T incident got me thinking. Maybe an idea is to use a second strap to put on the bottom of stick. After seating stick with top rope/strap take a cinch strap and wrap around bottom and tighten real good. Might not need for bottom stick since your not real high

    I am using full length heliums with single step aiders and was just thinking the other day that maybe I should lower the versa buttons. I am using the original hole now. It seems like with aiders the hole should be lower. Always seems like the bottom of the stick is looser than the top

    Probably not much but it couldnt hurt. You really are only stepping for a moment and its not like your bouncing on it. If anything happens you will probably feel it loosen as opposed to a clean break

    I do the same. I tried climbing one time using the web's loops for climbing and it was awful. Use a seperate climbing belt and tighten shoulder straps as tight as you can. I do not use leg straps and that helps.

    I think you guys are too smart sometimes. You need a simple minded person's opinion once in a while. Why not just take some hockey tape and wrap around bar and make 2 "knobs" by over wrapping the tape similar to the end of a hockey stick so the hook on the aider doesnt slide and make noise.
