Ideas for a gear hanger?

The Amsteel gear hangers are so much better than any other option out there in my opinion. So much smaller than the HYS strap. And you don't really need any type of clip or camjam to connect it, just run it back through itself & hang your pack on the tag end. Keeps the strap tight that way with less hardware. I just run my bow hanger, one s biner for my pack & one s biner to hang my quiver on.
They are also pretty easy to DIY, just make a daisy chain but leave one side slightly longer so it stays open when the strap is pulled tight against the tree.
Hero clips are good, I got the idea off of here to use a Nite Ize Figure 9 that I cut up for my bow hanger this year. So far I think I like it better than the hero clip. Some of the kydex hooks people make look like a good idea too.
I also use this same setup for duck hunting in the timber to hang my blind bag & shotgun from. Can't recommend it enough!!

Yeah once I got the hang of it making the loops was easy, especially with the little jig I was able to 3d print. The amsteel I got fit perfectly in my paracord fids so I put one on each end and it went super smooth. I left enough of the loop color to bury the tag end into the other cord, so it bites good in the camjam.
I was very pleased to find out the amsteel I got was MUCH easier to work with than the cheap camo stuff I was using. It was like yarn.

Looks like a box knot. http://www.paracordguild.com/make-box-knot/ Lots of options for this style of hanger, I've use box knots and lanyard knots and figure-8s. In general I prefer figure-8s because they're so easy to tie. But for my hanger I've come to prefer a single strand of paracrod with Prussic loops for the attachment points.

Hard to get much simpler than this. Just bought a cam jam and used the paracord it came with. Tied a couple of loops into it and also added one sliding loop on a prussik tied with d loop material. 
This is mine. Probably to bulky for some, but once I started one sticking, I ended up with an empty pouch on my saddle anyway. Non issue for me.

I'm going to be moving my HYS Straps on... I just tried an amsteel daisy-chain (loose loops) gear hanger setup and I'm sold!
I have the G.H.O.A.T. suspenders/gear strap hanger by BK Outdoors. And I gotta say, its the GOAT. They did a awesome job designing it and it's extremely useful for hanging your bow/rifle pack and small accessories and just as good as a suspenders. I highly recommend it
I use paracord with a monkey fist on one end and a WLR hitch with enough tail to tie a loop that fits over the monkey fist. (At first I girth hitched it over but learned that was unnecessary) When you pull on the tail of the paracord the WLR will get ALL the slack/stretch out of it. I have a small loop of rope with a tail to grab tied above the WLR hitch to use as a tender since the hitch is so small, tightens so tight, and is against a tree. For loops to hand stuff from I tie a Blake’s on each end of the loop around the main line of the gear hanger. All the benefits of a prusik without worrying about it falling off when not weighted AND the loop stays as wide or narrow as you want, unlike a prusik… I also use a DIY kydex hook on bow to hang it from one of the double Blakes loops. Works great and also doubles as a deer drag with a back band or saddle across your chest. Only catch is you better have your loops in the right position before tightening that WLR because you won’t be able to adjust them afterward without a bit of a fight! 
I'm a HYS strap guy also. I have a couple S-biners of diffrence sizes plus the bow hook/clip that everyone uses (can't recall the name right now). It might not be the smallest to pack down, but it isn't like we're talking about fitting everything into your jeans pocket for a hunt anyway. I have the SYS hauler and it all fits on one of the two outer mesh pockets. Its not heavy so even if I cut 90% of the weight from it I'm saving an ounce or two. What I like is that I can put it anywhere, hang things from any side of the tree, and not have to worry about balance or weighting. Once you strap it in you have all of the slots to play with. I take my quiver off and it hangs about chest level. I'll hang a grunt tube and range finder lower down the strap so I can use the full strap length on top of the lanyard length to move around and range behind me if needed. I don't hang a pack so I like how secure and adjustable the buckle truly is.
So the hooks I just downloaded from thingiverse but the fold down I did myself. I've sinse done away with the bolt and just 3d print the pin myself too
I use a Nitize Gear Strap (daisy chain) with a piece of paracord tied to one end and a CamJam XT to tighten it to the tree. I can clip the CamJam on whatever link I need to for the size of tree and pull it tight enough that I can hang my bow and pack without it sagging. I use S-biners and a HeroClip or whatever type of clip works best for what I need.
I used a cinch strap off a Summit climber to make my favorite one so far. I added a G hook to it to make connecting to the tree a breeze. The hangers are made out of 1/8" x 1/2" aluminum flat rod. Here is a link on how to make the hangers: SteelWorks Weldable Aluminum Flat (1/8" x 1/2" x 4')
