Place the rope on a hard surface. Warm up device and put pressure down on the rope with the blade. I use my shop table
Sure thing, I have a chunk of oak hardwood that I use as a cutting board.

That's how I do it as well, just thought maybe I was doing something wrong.

Thanks again

Redundant 11mm bridges. People think they need to constantly adjust their bridge because their saddle has the feature. You truly don't IMO.

Since OP asked about Amsteel:

Contrary to popular saddle hunter belief, Amsteel is not designed for climbing applications or life safety. Great product for what it's intended for, but you won't find any industries pimping it as bridge or tether material.View attachment 95887
Teufelberger uses a dyneema bridge on the Treemotion. There is some discussion on kernmantel rope with twisted parallel strands core not being suitable for a bridge, some have experienced the cover allowing the strands to pop out, like a core shot on dynamic ropes.

Yes but it's a hybrid rope. I own that saddle, on my second one actually.

I know this because I tried buying some for bridge material on my hunting saddle. They don't sell it separately. It's a polyester outer and dyneema core. They went with the polyester outer for abrasion purposes. Hence my original point about Amsteel and abrasion resistance.

Interesting on the kernmantle, where did you read that? Interested in seeing more. I know several guys that use it as bridge material, but things change all of the time
