To the bridge crowd. I found some C-IV. What say you? Does this look safe for my bridge. I been hanging on it in my basement. I love the way it rides in my caribeener and seems rock solid. Seems pretty simple and straightforward, but my first fixed rope bridge, that's not amsteel. Just don't want to make a dumb mistake. I tried to tag the guys that were active in this thread and seemed to use fixed rope bridges.

If I I missed you I apologize, I still value your opinion.

Lots of dudes using C-IV for climbing, tethers, rappelling…I would have no problem using that setup as a bridge.

Thanks my man. I like the way the scaffold knots grab better than the girth hitch/prussic on the adjustable bridge as well. All said it's a win/win this far.

I wanted to clean up the tag ends, but was informed by wife that the kids were cutting crayons with my hot knife and it's now out of commission. So that will have to wait for a bit.

Amazon has an awesome rope cutting knife for like $20

Hangfree.co order showed up today. 4’ Oplux, amsteel continuous loops, 2 amsteel tenders. Used prusik on the bridge loops and Schwabisch hitch on the oplux side. It’s solid and easy to adjust when necessary. Rolls smooth through that carabiner so I’m gonna roll with this for a while.

Should work. The key is to put downwards pressure on the rope as you use this.

Meaning pushing the rope down onto the blade as opposed to pushing the blade down onto the rope?
Place the rope on a hard surface. Warm up device and put pressure down on the rope with the blade. I use my shop table
