Does the mesh do anything to diminish hip pinch? Never owned a mesh saddle.

15 oz is awesome not saying it’s too heavy by any means. The sitdrag isn't built for 5,000 lb load rating, and truly needs a rock harness backup to be safe.

NoWill you still need a harness?

The kestrel is awesome and if you weren’t hunting from a sit drag before you wouldn’t consider it bulky or heavy. Coming from a sit drag to a kestrel it was shocking how big it is. Just keep in mind you could roll up a sit drag and stick it in a pocket.Just bought a kestrel should be here tomorrow. Do you guys think it's really that heavy? Coming from carrying my stand around no matter how heavy it is it will be a dream to carry lol . Do you guys walk worth the kestrel on or put it on when you get to the tree? Might have to buy one of these two if it's that much better lol.

My personal opinion is the Kestrel is built more toward the "sitter" style in mind. Great saddle, overbuilt in some areas but with a safety benefit imo. This option looks like it optimizes the leaner niche better.
Walking in it comes down to personal preference. Kestrel is too much bulk for me other than a short walk but lots of guys walk in it. I would just rather keep it in my pack and walk unencumbered.
