The Mantis and the Predator
He’ll Come To The Hole That’s Cut Out For Ya
By Dope on a Rope
Tune - Hotel California- Eagles
On a well-worn runway, gentle breeze in his face
Warm rays of a new sun, lighting up the darkened place
The Mantis and the Predator holding him up in space
Up ahead in the hollow, he saw a flicker of white
His heart beat faster and his hands grew sweaty
He had to strain to catch a sight
There it stood in the pathway;
He heard the grunting clear
And he was thinking to himself
This may be it, oh’ let it happen here
Then it started walking, and it slowly came his way
The wind in the trees was whispering
He thought he heard it say -
Will he come to the hole that’s cut out for ya
Such a likely place (such a likely place)
Such an open space
`Plenty of room at the hole that’s cut out for ya
It’s that time of year, it could happen here
His rack is definitely twisted, he’s got the droptine
He’s got a lot of gnarly, gnarly points that are polished fine
How he ghosted through the forest, testing the wind
Standing for long moments, slowly moving on again
So he turned in his saddle
Placed hand on his bow
He said, ‘I haven’t had a shot like this since long, long ago’
And still the wind is whispering, making the trees sway
Woke him up in the midst of his thoughts
It seemed to say -
Will he come to the hole that’s cut out for ya
Such a likely place (such a likely place)
Such an open space
Plenty of room at the hole that’s cut out for ya
It’s drawing near, he’ll soon be here
Enjoying the feeling,
The adrenaline rush is nice
Moving very slowly, he quietly clipped on his release device
And as a master hunter
He anticipated the feast
‘I’ll skin it with my steely knife
After I kill the beast’
Last thing he remembers, whitetail was
Running through the wood
He hadn’t waited for the opening, even though he knew he should
‘I’m through!’ said the hunter
As he packed up his kit
But when hunting’s in your blood,
You can pack it in any time you like
BUT YOU CAN NEVER QUIT!
He was coming to the hole that’s cut out for ya
Such a likely place (such a likely place)
Such an open space
Plenty of room at the hole that’s cut out for ya
It’s that time of year, it could’ve happened here.

When stealthy, sleek and silent they wait upon the prey.

What they left you hanging on your hat? Man I know the feeling been waiting on that kegerator. @BassBoysLLP got his hat like 3-4 weeks ago
