Whatever gets me from point A to point B is what I'm for! I am a Ford guy though and love my F250 SuperDuty with the 6.0 diesel even though I am scared to death of it.

Had a 6.0 as well thing ran fantastic! But you always have that feeling in the back of your head is today the day I blow her apart lol

This delay was caused by a webbing problem. The webbing we received ended up being purple instead of brown. And this is the second time we had this issue. I don't want to call anyone out, but the company rhymes with crapworks.com

They've shipped us the wrong color items, the wrong items, the wrong quantity of items. Let's just say we won't be buying from them any longer.

I see!! I can’t say i have not had that problem with them and I don’t nearly order from them too often!! You would figure ordering in bulk they would try to make sure to get it right the first time. Oh well thank you for the insight and hopefully everything will be here and done soon. My season starts the 15th so it will be tight but it doesn’t stop me. Thank you again for you openess and patience with all of us.

Im sure they will refund however alot of the guys that are impatient are new and don’t understand that these products even from other manufacturers will need to be made and they will have to wait either way. It is the way it is in the saddlehunting game!! Im patient but disappointed at the same time however im in bed so to speak with Tethrd and really could wait longer if needed.

Greetings Tethrd Nation. It's time for another update.

We shipped a WHOLE BUNCH of Predator platforms this week and the feedback has been great! We're so happy to finally get this stuff in your hands! Each platform came with paper instructions for attaching it to the tree, but we'll go over some of the most important things here for those of you that are still waiting on your Predator.

1. First, strap it to the tree with the platform in "up" or "transport position. Pull the strap as tight as humanly possible and keep the strap level.
2. Once the strap is tight, push down with one hand on the top of the i-beam post. Push down hard. You're trying to remove all the slack in the strap. The post and bracket should move downward a few inches depending on the type of tree.
3. Continue to push down as hard as you can and then rotate/cam the platform down letting the teeth bite into the tree. It should take some effort to push the platform all the way down. You may have to repeat this process depending on the tree.

For most people, the platform is now ready to hunt. Depending on the tree, you may have to use the "toe hook" method to really get it tight. First, stand on top of the post with one foot, and use your toes from your other foot to hook the platform and rotate it back into the "up" or "transport" position. The Predator should move down a couple inches on the tree. Next, step back down on the platform to lock it in super tight. This is the same method used with some hang-on tree stands. The "toe hook" method should only be a last resort if the platform doesn't get tight enough with the "push down" method.

Don't jump up and down on the Predator! It's strong, but it's not designed to be a trampoline! Also, keep in mind it's designed to be used WITH a saddle! The Predator is a positioning aid, not a tree stand.

Finally, look for a video tomorrow on the Tethrd Nation YouTube Channelshowing this process in detail.

Regarding the Mantis and the other sewn goods. I just now got off the phone with the manufacturer in Minnesota. Unfortunately, they're not going to make the anticipated delivery date of next week. We're looking at a new delivery date of the first week in September and being caught up by the middle of the month. I know this really effects some of you guys whose season opens up really early. I sincerely apologize for the delay.

I know, I know, I know - this is not what anyone wanted to hear, least of all me. I'm having chest pains from typing this out. However, bad news is not a fine wine...it doesn't get better with time. I have the responsibility to keep all of you informed even though it's painful.

The good news is I know every single one of you is going to love the Mantis once you get your hands on it. It's that awesome. It's comfortable, it's user friendly, it's light weight, and it's tough as nails. I hung in the final prototype this morning when I finally got a chance to mess with the production Predator platform. Believe me when I say this combo is going to be a GAME CHANGER and it will revolutionize how you hunt.

We appreciate the support and the understanding. Hang in there guys!

Greg & Ernie

I for one feel this is ABSOLUTELY worth the wait - new company and difficulties with manufacturers and things outside of anyone’s control happen. I’m personally grateful that Greg and Ernie aren’t compromising. That MEANS something. I’ve already asked them to ship mine last so anyone who wants mine before me who might ask for refund might think twice.

Being patient is less than fun but I’m in it for the long haul with this Team Tethrd - and I ain’t nobody but a fan.

I’m sure in several weeks our impatience will be behind us, we will have some good videos to review, and we will all be Tethrd happily to our trees watching ol drop tine drop dead!

If you'll remember back a year there were a lot of us in a very similar situation with product from another saddle manufacturer. While I had to wait longer than I would of liked for that product, in the end I couldn't have been happier with it when it finally showed up. I'm sure that will be the case with the Mantis as well. I can wait and am very sure I will be happy when it gets here.

It's overwhelming sometimes being the subject of such relentless envy. But is been this way my whole life so it would seem like I'd be used to it. Sort of like ole swampy should be used to his underwhelming performance in the woods each season. Hope ya don't end up on my team this year. But it's cool that you post diy videos sometimes to distract from the fact that you ain't killin nuttin. LOL

I’m no use to any team so I don’t play. I figured I’d make how to videos to try and bring a few of y’all down to my level. Lol

Well I’ve got another week home and then back to work for two months. So you can put my stuff on layaway also. Hopefully it will be here by the third week in October. Till then you can give mine away.
