I run a pretty low tether most days. Nose-eye level usually. I have no issues shooting anywhere around the tree and it’s a good height for me since I’m mainly leaning. A low hookup allows me to lift my bow over the bridge and shoot to the right just as easy as I can shoot to the left. I encourage everyone to try it that way and see what they think. I try to move as little as possible and this helps me from moving around the tree for some shots.

Ever since I got started hunting with a platform my favorite way to shoot to the off side is to roll up in my tether. I am basically standing with my back tight to the tree wrapped up in my tether. I have hunted for several hours this way also. I can’t ever see myself not using a platform just because of this.

Yep I do that too! I killed a doe last year like that at about 6 yards while she was trying to figure out exactly what I was lol. I was so tight to the tree she couldn’t peg me before I took her heart out! I do it just like this

Is it possible to edit your order? I got the hauler with the mantis but wish I would have got the adjusters instead.

So, do we know what the finish will be on the production predator platform and post? Raw or something else?

Really shoot I have had mine for a week now. LOL
Same here... In my head. Climbed a couple oak trees in the back yard already and..." I'd take it off my pack just like this, then I'd set my platform right here, step on it just like so"...
The wife and kids are like, now what are you doing?
I just grin

I think the predator is a game changer. Really looking forward to it.

Lol, I understand there is a lot of hype about the new products, and this is the first specifically made/marketed for saddle hunters, but how is it a game changer? We have had access to several different platform options. I guess this one doesn't require any DIY, oh wait neither did mine, Hmmm? I use the XOP hand climber, and I just purchased it from XOP for about half of the price of a predator. Not trying to argue, or be a jerk, just curious what makes it such a game changer? It is lighter I guess a few lbs could be considered a game changer, I think it's around 3 lbs with the post right?

It locks on tight. As a big guy not having to worry about the stand snapping. Oh yeah with my size 14 feet I can actually turn around on it. Maybe just a game changer for me.

All of us guys on here are total gear junkies/ DIY scientist...Heck if there's a new different colored strap, It could be called a gamechanger, as we are all so into every minute detail...It's awesome.
