I take a look at all the weight to strength ratios. Your right though, that you do not need need something with a 10k rating. Safety factors are built in. The problem most guys have including me unless you are buying something made in America I always go for the higher safety ratings. I want the same safety factors in there that a guy that is 200 lbs has. However, I realize if I am 250 lbs and you are 190 lbs and we using the same sticks rated for 300 lb and it is made over seas there is a good chance that the stick is going to give out on me long before it does on you. I also realize since I am not a light weight I need to accept that, and not try and squeeze a square into a round hole.

@huck72412, I truly believe this is a very safe system and no short cuts were spared. So even a guy like myself can use it.
