Any tips for splicing amsteel ultra tech 9mm.

I was. I just switched to the 9mm sterling htp because I think it is slightly smaller than the 9mm ultra tech. They are both good and I have a bunch of both so I may go back at some point too. The ultra tech is a great all around rope. I'm just always trying new things lol.

I glad you are trying new things so we can use what is best after you try them

How you got that buried is beyond me. I just tried and it wasn't budging. Had to cut it out.

It was tough I had to tie a loop put it ion a ball hitch tip from bow hunter15 and keep pulling on it I also tied a prusik on the cover end of the eye so I was just pulling on the cover end and not the bury end of the eye this helped a lot. Another tip I used is the snap motion I seen on the New England rope video. I also had to use the rubber mallet in between each pulling session.

The core at the union where it meets the sheath, where the stitches go bunched up really bad. I think that was my issue. I've lost about 2' off it and and am afraid to try again because it may get too short.
