I’ve been eyeing a Bear Grizzly in 45lbs for several years. Could you recommend options for any accessories I would need to go with it such as arrow specifics, broadheads, quiver, tab/glove?
You can shoot any arrow material out of that bow. Wood, aluminum, carbon...its your choice, just make sure they are spined for the bow. I shot xx75, cedar and ash for years but I've settled in on carbon because they fly the best for me. I like that I can adjust front of center % by adding weight to my inserts.
I shoot a 2 blade, single bevel broadheads and have had very good results with single bevel.
Dr Ed Ashby has done extensive, real world testing of single bevel and I'm a believer.
Go to Alaskabowhuntersupply.com to see videos/read a ton of info from Ashby.
If you plan to shoot off the shelf, you will want to fletch with feathers. Elevated rests can accommodate vanes, but most instinctive shooters like to shoot off the shelf.
I prefer a simple tab. Its just a piece of cordovan leather. It wears like iron and actually gets more slick with use. Its as simple as you can get.
You can shoot split finger or 3 under. They make tabs for 3 under but a split finger tab can be shot 3 under, but a 3 under can't be shot split finger.
I like a bow quiver. Mine is an old Screaming Eagle model that just straps to the handle.
Some guys like to shoot with no attached quiver...they might choose a hip/shoulder style or a bow quiver that is easily removed while on stand. I leave mine on the bow.
