Blew it last night. Missed my earn a buck doe. Not even sure what happened cause it should have been an easy shot. Hoping my sight got bumped or something over the past few hunts, I'll be out double checking everything after work tonight. I'm just glad it was a clean miss so I didn't have to spend the night traipsing through the swamps after her.

I'm more annoyed at myself for blowing it than anything else. Oh well, that's bow hunting. Time to get back in the saddle.

Experience on the 3d course has taught me the easy shots are not that easy. :) See where your equipment is hitting and get back in the saddle. lol

Not the first or last time that I'll miss!

Yeah, we've all done it. That's a better result than wounding. I lost a huge elk on a rifle hunt a couple years ago that I think about all the time.....

It happens to us all. Causes could be anything but you missed and didn't wound which is the best case scenario. Its bowhunting as you said and you will get em next time. As Kenn stated sometimes the easiest shots are the hardest.

I lost a big elk last year. But I didn't miss. I guessed him at 30 yards and he was only 17. Hit him high and I think he survived. I would have much rather missed clean.

Red, I have the solution. " DaveT1963"
LOL.

So must have bumped something over the past week cause some stuff was off. Spent a while in the backyard tonight getting things back in order. Back in a tree tomorrow afternoon.

I always put marks on the parts that can come out of whack somehow so that way you know. Things can get bumped unfortunatley

I just missed a shot too!!! Doe was ten feet in front of me! Arrow made a "Clunk" sound as it released. Clean miss. Took like twenty shots when I came home and they all hit perfect. I have no idea what happened. Like you said, better to miss entirely so there won't be a track job.

Yes, in the heat of the moment sometimes things just happen. Like you didn't have your correct form, or didn't have the sight centered in the peep, or your bow string clipped a bit of clothing or something. All I ever do is try to learn from my mistakes and not repeat them!
