My diy bow and bag hook. It's a double coat hook attached to the main line via 3 zip ties. Used it and working really well so far. Can't believe I never thought about doing this earlier.

Pretty sweet. I like it but would be a little concerned if the zip ties wear of the season. Not a big expense for zip ties but if the bow falls that could be end game. Nicely done though

Agree with MCDM. You could probably create a little bracket that will clamp on the rope so that you don't have to worry about zip ties.

550 cord instead of zip ties. Great idea. Thanks for posting.

You'd have to be able to move the bracket to accommodate different setups.

The center zip tie will last 100 hunts or more. I think it'll work. But when you see some wear you can figure out another way to attach.

I like it. Good idea.

Thanks for all the great input. If your bag is kind of heavy you might have to get different coat hangers and use a much stronger kind of a tie. That's one thing I noticed after using it. Eventually after some brain storming and trial and error we might come to a perfect setup. It's a good start.

That's a cool idea.

What I currently use it to tie a few loops made out of 550 cord (loops are about 4 inches long. keep a few of these in my saddle pouch. I girth hitch them to strap or main line which will leave a small loop hanging down. I have a small carbineer on my pack ( 1.5 inch I think got a Wally World) and snap it on the loop. Simple, cheap. lightweight and can to readjusted for any tree.

That's a great idea and probably close to perfect.
