When season is over I'm going to start looking for some light weight carabiners for the tether and lineman's belt. I've been using the SMC Kinetic Twist Double Auto Lock that came with the Evo. So what are the shapes, gates, locking/unlocking, etc that should be used for each?

Honestly, a lot of it comes down to personal preference. Are you using a ropeman? Most of the biners I've used with the ropeman have worked pretty well. For size, I like to make sure it has a wide enough gate to make hooking in easy. I like the D or oval biners usually. The D's have worked pretty good with the ropeman for me. I prefer screwlock. Screwing the biner in to lock it has just become part of my routine.
I'm not using a ropeman. I'm always fighting the auto lock from making noise and it's difficult to work with one hand on the lineman's. I'm thinking about getting a wire gate for the lineman's and a screw lock for tether.

Dude I wouldn't suggest using a wire gate. There's no safety if the biner gets twisted while loading the LB leaving the potential for it to get popped off the loop. Maybe consider a single throw auto lock which would be light, safe, and simple to operate.
Agreed. I don't recommend wire gates. I only use them to clip gear into and then I have them as a backup in case.
