37 degrees this morning according to the thermometer.... that constitutes the wool croc liners.. and anytime you're trying a new climbing method you gotta lock the hubs in

@Jtaylor your leap frog idea works pretty good....5 stirrup placements got me up much higher than my normal hunting height. It wasnt the most eloquent climb being it was my first attempt but it'll smooth out with practice.

Roughly the same bulk as my kneepads

Ascending is just like climbing with my sticks/aider. Easy peasy.... Decending is were I'll need more practice....tying the knot and setting as low as possible will take some getting used to

My little helper....she always curious of whatever stupid activity I'm involved with at the time....can be a little annoying when setting up the target and climbing up to shoot and my little buddy is climbing all over my 3d whitetail

ACUs and cowboy boots, now that's how it's done, I don't care what people say about crocs
I don't give a flying duck what people think....I do all my clothes shopping at goodwill. My trade is hard on clothing....I go get 5 sets of work clothes twice a year....roughly 60 bucks....unless I catch on fire then constitutes special trips...laced boots aren't good in a fab shop...1 day a molten dingle berry will find its way in and you can't get them off fast enough

I have the same problem and they like to sharpen their claws on my 3d targets as well as standing on them while trying to practice shooting!

I wasn't being sarcastic, that is my favorite setup.

But I can relate to being really close to people spraying liquid metal. Or carbon arcing, that's just awful.

I would really like to see a video of this so we can all picture and you can further enable the DIY community to move to the 5th or 6th climbing method.

Come on down to fla...bring your camera, your bow, and crocs...

Seriously....I would like to share but making a video of myself climbing a tree just isn't in the itinerary.

Hopefully us Florida guys will have a meet and greet soon... maybe someone there would be interested in making video.

I also need to get some more practice with it

All you need is literally any cell phone. If you can figure out the out of this world things you fabricate in the name of hanging in a tree, you can film your own butt and send it to me....

That is a very ingenious system. It looks like it would be more than sufficient. Will you wear a rock climbing harness or just a lineman's belt? Also what will you use for your "platform or ring of steps"?

Saddle with linesman. I have a plethora of platforms to choose from but I intend on using the soft platform I made until it gives me a reason to not use it.

I'm there brother. I really want to try out your metal-less climbing method. PM me when you want to post season scout Blanding.
