Some good ideas here. I’ve gone with the pocket of my harness, but it is not working out well and bunching up. Will look into these options.

I keep my floating cattail seeds in an old Hunter Specialties scent wafer canister. I would guess milk weed would fit in one of those also. Plus my floaters smell like dirt! :)

I use a plastic chew can. Just cut a H shape in the lid and lifted the tabs so I can pull a few fibers out.

I have found that the closer I can keep the fluff to the way it comes out of the pod the better it floats. With that in mind I have started picking the pods just before the open up. Then put a small rubber band around the whole pod. Then just take the whole pod with you. Just pull a few out as needed. Works pretty well for me.

Then just take that pod, drill a small hole in the other end and put a small string or zip tie and connect to a clip or directly to pack, vest, anything.
