I have never had a pair of snake boots but cannot justify a pair of boot that I will wear just part of the time. (I know... getting bit is no fun and expensive.)

I am looking for a pair of boots that are comfortable enough to use when hunting/scouting and working around the house and farm.

Here is the catch. I have flat feet (very). And weakish ankles. Who makes a Comfortable, Lace Up, Waterproof snake boot for people with Flat Feet.

I have used cabelas rubber snake boots and if you walk far they are tiring. I have used bass pro and rocky snake boots and they both started leaking the second season of use. I have a pair of Irish Setter vaprtrek snake boots that are three years old and are still waterproof but the liner has pulled away from the inside of the heel and it takes a long shoe horn to take them off. They have been my most comfortable snake boot so far. They are just expensive. I looked at the lacrosse alpha pro snake boot this weekend and it looks like as comfortable of a rubber snake boot as I have seen. Really with any boot I would try as many on as you can.

Just purchased Irish setters 17" model. Lightest pair I have ever worn. After a day of breaking them in they are pretty dang comfortable

My snake boots always leak. I had redheads and Irish setters. I quit trying.

I personally buy the snake gaitors
Are they quiet when you walk?

I was trying to kill a couple of birds with 1 stone. If they are water proof then I don't have to mess with the bibs or other additional items to get through shallow water bit I would also be covered for snakes and I assume they would be quieter than chaps.

Looks like all the waterproof models leak after a short life span. And some of the one I have heard of that do not leake, make a noise when you walk if you are not careful or of there is brush around...

Mine fit over my rubber boots. They are not waterproof. I think they are called ranger or wrangler?

Lacrosse snake boots are amazing! My whole family has them. They are Waterproof and snake proof. In the swamps of eastern North Carolina when I track deer through the swamp at night and see cottonmouths swimming by, I am thankful.

Never been bitten and never had snake boots. Use to play in the woods barefoot as a kid. Just been lucky I guess because I had plenty close calls.
I got a buddy that a water moccasin bit the toe of his rubber boot and got stuck on. He said he was kicking and screaming like a girl and it finally flew off, but he couldn’t get to it to kill it so he went to his stand. One the way out he said he was scared. Was shining the light on the side of the trail where the snake was but didn’t see it. Turned his head and the snake was on the opposite side. Lol he said it was hunting him! Lmao!
I’m sure he ran all the way back to the truck. When we were kids we came up on a big snake. I had to carry him out the woods on my shoulders. He doesn’t like snakes.

It's so wet where the ninja hunts he always wears lacrosse la grange and keeps his eyes out for mr no shoulders and when encounters occur gives him wide berth

My dad was a huge snake lover when I was young and often brought them in the house. When I was 8 he brought a six ft king snake home from a woodlot behind his office and let it free in the living room. He had every intention of putting it back in his truck and releasing it elsewhere. Well somehow it ended up getting under the sink in the hallway bathroom and down through a little hole that followed the plumbing to the foundation. So his theory was eventually it would come out and he would remove it when it did. A couple of days went by with no visual on the snake. Back in those days it wasn't uncommon for Mom and dad to leave early for work and my brother and I would shower and walk to the bus stop alone. They would put our lunch money on the mantle above the fireplace each morning. I'm sure it's obvious now where this story is going. My brother was getting dressed when I came out of the bathroom naked as ever. My first stop was always the mantle so I could put my money in my pocket as soon as I got dressed. I hopped up on the stone ledge and reached up on the mantle for my money and there he was. That snake slithered off and landed on my shoulder and proceeded to touch every inch on my nakedness as I fell to the floor screaming like a woman. My brother ran down the hallway wondering what was happening. As soon as he realized what had happened the snake was already moving across the room. He didn't miss the opportunity to call me a sissy before telling me to hurry up and get dressed before we miss the bus.

Muck snake boots. Have had over 10 surgeries on each foot and my feet make Mario Andretti's look great (we compared them once!). Never have I had more comfortable boots.

once while scouting a swamp edge I caught a white flash on the ground near my feet, then another . I had unknowingly step in between 4 juvenile moccasins. I was wearing sneakers at the time. I have rocky snake boots and yes they leak
.

Redhead snake boots...3 yrs old just started leaking. I use the waterproofing spray prior to season to help. I wear them all early archery season. Never been bitten but almost stepped on a Northeastern rattler 3 years ago thats why I bought them. Cheaper the surgery and missing work. Plus where I hunt now has some copperheads.

If I ever need snake boots I'm moving.
