EZV sight / Thumb Release

I like the FOBs. I have been shooting them since they have been introduced. I love using them and they fly awesome.

I am using a Carter Honey back tension release with a safety. Forrest Carter told me Randy Ulmer has hunted with the same release.

Still haven't gotten the hang of the EZV yet and I'm pretty bummed about it. Using the Perry's No Peep for so long has handicapped me from a form perspective. The PNP is a GREAT invention, but without it, I'm totally inconsistent because I have no instant form feedback to go off of. I'm using a kisser and my nose to the string now but I'm still very unhappy with POA/POI on target.

Spent some time last week sighting my daughter's bow in and I was dead on with her 3-pin and peep sight setup. I will try putting a peep back on my bow...

Look at the Bow Anchor like @cedar paul mentioned.

I ordered a bow anchor sight today. It’s in the mail.

So I’ve been looking everywhere and can’t seem to find the answer, figured some guys on here could help me out. I just bought the ezv sight used from a guy on here. He didn’t have the paper with the demintions on it I shoot a block target not a 3D so I have no vitals to look at. I was wondering if anyone on here had that piece of paper and could measure from dot to dot on each side and from top to bottom of the vitals on that target that come with the sight. I’m then going to just paint it on my block target with spray paint so I can try this thing the way it was meant to be shot and not looking at the tic marks on the side. Or if anyone has any other suggestions on how to do this it would be very much appreciated.

You don’t need the paper. The area you view the vitals in will be different than mine depending on your draw length and which holes you use to mount the sight. Site it in on your block target at 20 yards using the 20 yard tick marks. Notice how much is the target you see between the V once sighted in and move to 30 yards and frame it the same. You should get a tight 30 yard arrow next to your 20 yard arrow.

I think they recommended using a 16 inch circle to first sight it in. But the above works too

I've neglected to write an update for quite a while now...

Had the chance to purchase a barely use Prime Centergy at a heck of a deal a few weeks ago, so I picked it up. That turned into a longer wait than anticipated due to ordering and installing draw length specific cams. I got pretty nervous about the EZV because 1) I was experiencing such difficulty with it, and 2) the 30 day money-back guarantee expired while I was waiting on the cams to arrive. Since I ended up changing the ENTIRE setup from my original configuration (New Breed Genetix at 55lbs/Axcel Armortech 5 pin/Perry's No Peep), I went ahead and added a peep sight back into the mix. Well, finally got everything installed and operational about a week ago and since then, all I can say is WOW!!!

1) I COMPLETELY LOVE THIS PRIME!!! This thing is the bees knees. I actually gained 40FPS (now shooting 55lbs @ 280FPS) in making the switch from the Genetix (55lbs @ 240FPS). It balances like a dream and I am no longer even using my back bar.

2) Every time I shoot this rig I am AMAZED at the simplicity of the sighting system. It puts a huge smile on my face when I approach the target and see all my arrows within the vitals. My confidence level has skyrocketed since using the V. Previously, I was iffy at 40yds and almost never practiced past 30yds for fear of missing and breaking an arrow against the shed wall. Now I'm consistently drilling my 3d target even at 50yds! I think this has to do with adding the peep back in and the lack of pins to focus on. Shooting the V has drastically decreased target panic for me. Now, like all the commercials say, I just frame the vitals and hit my thumb button. The pressure of having to "aim small, miss small" is gone. I get a kick out of walking around my yard at various unknown yardages and letting arrows sail. My wife thought I was crazy the other day when I was walking around the yard with a super-big grin on my face in disbelief that hitting vitals without a rangefinder could be so simple.

It's been an interesting transition, but I've got to say... I'm a believer in the EZV sighting system now and I'm tickled with the entire Prime/EZV/peep setup. Can't wait to take this rig into the woods this coming season. This may actually be my forever bow :)
