I have tried webbing haulers and don't think I want a mechanical one. I pull up my pack, curve and Quiver all strapped together.
Any one use fatter rope?
I just went to Home Depot and picked up some cheap light polypro 1/4" rope 157# working load and a couple of 150# spring clips in camo
The rope should be good in water, doesn't seem to tangle, holds knots. I was using a paracord line that burns my hands and is hard to pull up a load without heavy gloves and with smaller clips that got snagged on everything....too small and a 'tooth' in the clip.
I put a clip on each end on an overhand knot and tied an overhand knot every 5 feet. I use the 5' knots to check my height and also to help when handling a load.
ANYWAY
If I like this, I'll replace it with stronger versions that won't weigh more but will cost a little more.
6mm climbing accessory cord can be bought in 25-50' lengths pretty cheap. Add two Mini FS Carabiners or Wild Country Astro or Camp Nano and you have a gear line that you could hang from.
