Florida quotas....discussion and results

Man it is hard when you have kids and responsibilities. I was happy when my boys were old enough to hunt. Though it was a real pain in the ass setting open three tree stands. I wore out the words "stop moving and be quiet" with my two yard apes.
Now I'm waiting for my grand kids to get old enough so can corrupt them completely.

My oldest isn't interested but she loves to fish so I call that a win, my boy is getting close to being ready to hunt. He walks the woods with me but I'm not ready to let him climb up a tree. We tether to trees at ground level currently. I apply for the family hunt quotas but I haven't drawn 1 yet. We are more small game season ground and pound at the moment. The little 1 is wild and hard on mom...terrible 2s.

Personally.... I feel I need to improve my skills exponentially before I can teach somebody.

There was some good quotas on this last reissue I would be very happy to draw.....

I was lucky enough to get an invite for an archery guest permit so I got all seasons covered now.

I started bare shafting some arrows and the bow was all wonky... Serving unraveling on the string and it must have/obviously stretched out. I got the ball rolling on a new string...I wasnt accounting on needing a new 1 or I would have taken care of it right after last season ended...ohh well.

Everywhere within 1hr of Orlando is dry also

A lot of my bow spots are good cuz water is usually high and deer aren’t spread out so much

I'm going out Sunday to poke around..... When I watched the news yesterday the forecast has the word HOT on Sunday and the letters were on fire hahahahahaha
Been like that for weeks here. I think today is supposed to be 102 or 103 actual and 115+ wind chill. I think it is supposed to cool down to the mid 90's for the weekend. Should make for pleasant scouting weather.

Everybody ok? It was pretty much a standard noreaster here in the northeast....hopefully u gulf coasters doing alright
I'm 7 miles east of Homosassa Springs. We had some wind and rain, never lost. electricity. Crystal River has bad storm surge flooding, they had US 19 closed and most of the town looked like a swimming pool.

Orlando area didn’t get much

Was hoping my bow season wmas would get some minor flooding cuz it definitely makes hunting better

Spring turkey phase 1 fellas
I put my apps in......
What kind of trouble have you been into lately?
I've got a Gen Gun quota hunt I'm excited about for this coming weekend. I'm taking my youngest hunting with me. He's 29, so I'm on letting him do all the bird dogging and dragging for me. Nice of me, huh? Its about time I get some payback out of him, I can't guess how many tree stands, and gutting I did for him when he was younger.

I do it all for my pops now. It’s not he’s not able too, it’s the fact once he hit 70 he does everything backasswards from what he taught me. Heck yesterday he was bushhogging and burning brush piles in one of my best hunting spots. I mean who the heck does that in November?
