So I am gonna start hunting from a saddle again Ive been out of the game for a long time. My old platform was a rachet strap with ameristeps. I have already struck out three times trying to get some steps. So I figure I will go a different route and use the treestand seat. I have read through quite a few threads on here and think I have the items i need. The only think I havent decide on was the square tubing or the i beam from xop. Can you guys give me some pros and cons of both?? thanks

Here is my list as well hopefully I didnt miss anything

Xop Seat
2 xop straps
1 versa button
2 xop brackets

How much do you weigh? What is your climbing method? Seems Im in the minority lately, but I favor the xop beam for 2 reasons. It allows me a support rope for my weight (to keep from bending the seat) and makes a great helium stick carrier. I haven't tried the xop brackets, already had lw batwings and think they have some advantages .

Packed and ready to go. I added shoulder straps to the platform, carry it on my back like a normal stand.

What do you you mean by support rope? I will have my sticks on a tree so I just Have to carry the platform
