Got my aero delivered today, will definitely be trying it out and adjusting/getting used to it for the remainder of the day. Will be on here later on probably asking a bunch of question.Super stoked!!

Awesome, Spent most of saturday night playing around with it, and almost all day sunday i started climbing different trees and shooting out of it. Next step is to work on getting to right height, 20-25 feet is what i keep seeing in posts and online to be above the deers vision. (having a hard time measuring/judging how high i actually am. Might do a few mock sits in the next two weeks in one of my spots to see how it goes

Like you said in your other post, just measure out a 25 foot piece of paracord or something and when its just touching the ground, there you go

Yep! I have a 30' pull rope and a lot of times I have to stop when I feel it getting tight  I like to hunt high in a few of my spots.

What do you guys use to climb to get that high? I feel that 3 sticks that measure 30-32" isn't enough

Going that high I usually have pre-set trees with screw in steps. I'm working on a system with my 3 lone wolf sticks with custom made etriers that can get me to between 20-25 feet though. I'm going to take some pictures and write it up as soon as I finish it.

I use one 20" Muddy stick with five step webbing aider to get that high. Just climb to the top of the stick, hang in the aero and move the stick up high as I can reach then climb back up. It's easy to do and I can climb as high as I want with very little weight to carry!

That is the one stick climbing method FYI

Yes, that is a great video for someone wanting to learn how to do it. There was an older video on there that gave me the idea but that one is more in depth. I will add that I am right handed and like to swing to the left of my stick so I can handle the stick with my right hand. Just personal preference.

You're hanging in aero from the tree strap correct, and NOT the linemans belt? How long does this usually take you to get up to about 25'?

Yes NOT the linemans belt. On a clean tree I can be up in three minutes. If I don't want to break a sweat and be silent a little longer. I can pass limbs but that also adds time. I can definitely climb with one stick faster than I can set multiple sticks but I never had much practice doing that.

Alright, my sticks come on today so ill see if i can work on it!

Watched more videos this morning, playing around with the idea of making an aiding strap step out of 550 paracord being I have some laying around and I don't have webbing. Think it will work with a few layers of stitching overtop of where my foot would be stepping?

I can get upto 21-22 ft with 4 lone wolf sticks. I'd play around with your sticks first before you start getting crazy with mods.

550 cord might not be the best for that job honestly. It wouldnt hold itself open and would be hard on the feet to stand in. I've made a few from 1" webbing that worked good though.

I would not use paracord for that. You can get the 1" military webbing on ebay pretty cheap. Maybe I can get around to finishing my mod this weekend so I can post it up for you to see.

Hey Flinginairos,

A big shout out to you for your innovative climbing method. I made a 3 step etrier (Thanks to DIY Sportsman) out of some heavy light brown nylon rope they sell at Home Depot. I cable tied and duct taped the knots, firmed the loops with plastic coated 1/4" wire rope (cable tied) and, with one Muddy Pro climber I can be at 20 feet in 5 moves. Plus, it's big fun! I'm 58 years young, I'm in pretty good shape, which I think you'll have to be to use your technique. Thanks!

Yeah, if you could that would be awesome!
