I want to do SRT, if just for the repelling down in the dark. It looks safer than climbing down...and a whole lot more fun. I have it all in the cart too...but I think Im going to wait till Mass saddle paluzza too see it all in person.

R&W Rope quoted me $56.61 for 35 ft of Sterling 9mm HTP with Sewn Eye one end. I asked them to add Petzl small ring to the eye. Just waiting on that quote.

Which rope? The Sterling is $0.84/ft by the foot online at RW Rope. Your purchase is quite a bit less.

You have to look in their closeout section. I bought two hanks. 3/8" which is 9.5mm One came in at 83' and the other was 88'. Ends came sealed also

I like the Sterling HTP but couldn't find a vendor that would splice black.

I don't think Sterling HTP can be spliced, only sewn.

Spliced or sewn that's what I meant. As long as I don't have to do it myself. I spliced some predator I think it was. It wasn't quick...and wasn't pretty.
